September 2013 I donated a painting to the Western Carolina Dog Fanciers Association to raise funds to purchase a Kevlar vest for one of their local police departments. Along with other fund raisers and donations they were able to raise enough money to purchase two vests. On June 14, 2014 one was presented to the Heywood County Sheriff's department and the other to the Waynesville Police Department, NC.
