After a recent thunder storm I was taking my male Newfoundland for our nightly ride. As the storm clouds were breaking up I saw one of those skies you never forget. Earlier that day I was also thinking about Tilley, my female Newfoundland I lost last year and how much I missed her. Immediately I thought that I needed to use this wondrous sky as inspiration in a portrait to honor her memory. I know that she is is waiting for Tuxie and me. James Herriot, my favorite author, reminds us of the words by Cecil Frances Alexander: All Creatures Great and Small, All Things Bright and Beautiful, All Things Wise and Wonderful, The Lord God Made Them All
